Scope of Project

An upgrade from U4BW 5.5.3 to Unit4 Business World Milestone 5. Also adding Experience Packs.

Modules included; Financial, Expenses, Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Planner and ETL.

Days used;

  • 5 days of Project Management
  • 5 days of onsite Consultancy
  • 4 days technical for the upgrade, dry run and Technical Project Management
  • 10 hours per month contract for the G7 Application Managed Service

Best Western had just 1 member on their project team.

The Role of G7

G7 supplied onsite Project Management for the initial planning meeting and project close, and then remote assistance during the upgrade.

G7, through their partner, QuickThink Cloud, upgraded the database, carried out a dry run and supplied Technical Project Management for any queries during the upgrade.

G7 supplied 5 days of onsite Consultancy, mostly around workflows, tweaking their current set up.

The number of Consultancy days required were so low due to Best Western being able to call the G7 Application Managed Service, whenever issues arose, for immediate and effective problem solving. They also used the service for any ‘How do I do this’ type questions.
